AFRIMA Awards 2014 unites Africa at spectacular ceremony in Lagos, Nigeria

The 2014 All Africa Music Awards, AFRIMA, brought together some of the best talents from the five regions of the continent to the 2014 main award ceremony held on Saturday, December 27, at the Grand Ballroom, Oriental Hotel, Lagos Nigeria. The event which was hosted by Nigeria's 2Face Idibia and Togo’s bilingual radio and TV personality, Maryse Acotie witnessed awards picked up in 31 categories by Africa's best musical acts.

The BFI screening of FINDING FELA which was held last thursday was warmly received by the full capacity audience in attendance. The Q&A session was anchored by Fela's manager and friend Rikki Stein and panelists included Fela's daughter Salewa, Femi Kuti's son Made, Yeni Kuti's daughter Rolari and former Egypt 80 band member and Afrobeat maestro Dele Sosimi.
