Thousands of Nigerians defied a very rainy London monday to attend the Nigerian Corner at the Notting Hill Carnival 2014. The event which was headlined by dancehall legend Daddy Showkey was hosted by the trio of Dj Abass, broadcaster Yaw of Wazobia Fm and comedian Mc Abbey. Special guests at this years' event include veteran broadcaster Bisi Olatilo, Dayo D1 Adeneye, Hip TV's Ayo Animashaun, ace video director Moe Musa, Femi Amusan (BenTv), Shope Olajide, Alariwo of Africa and many more. Event co-producer Ayo Shonaiya of RMG said "This years attendance defied all odds due to the torrential rain fall but the Nigerian spirit shone through as thousands came out". G.I Roadshow's Andrew Okocha also gave kudos to all performing acts "They were awesome". There were live performances by UK Nigerian pop likes like Ada Snoop, Sona, Afrika, Dizzy VC, Abdul, Jaycee, D-Soul, Big Tobs and Ejyki. The countdown is on to the 2014 edition of the Nigerian Corner at the Notting Hill Carnival. Billed as the largest annual gathering of Nigerians in Europe, this years' edition will feature musicians, comedians, fashion and the very best of Nigerian food and drinks. The Nigerian Corner has been a permanent feature of the Notting Hill Carnival since 1986 and has become the biggest summer outing for Nigerians (both home and abroad).
